The theme for this Conference was “A Changing Environment for Sustainable Water Management” which was intended to reflect the gradual paradigm shift in the attitudes of Pacific Island nations over the continuing water resource challenges and their current water and sanitation management practices.

The Conference drew people of different backgrounds in the water and wastewater industries to meet and discuss issues, exchange ideas and experiences and explore practical solutions relevant to the Pacific situation.  An expo was held in parallel to the scheduled workshops and meetings, where a range of technological solutions and applications were showcased.
